The Beverley Theatre Company will be taking their next production on tour in late May and early June, when they perform an evening of ‘one act plays’ at local villages including Kirk Ella, Cherry Burton and Tickton as well as St Nicholas Church Hall in Beverley.

The three plays include ‘Platform Party’, ‘Triangle’ and ‘A Little box of Oblivion’. The productions will be staged at Cherry Burton Village Hall on Friday May 24, St Nicholas Church Hall, Holme Church Lane, Beverley on Saturday May 25, South Ella United Reform Church, Kirk Ella on Friday May 31, and at Tickton Little Theatre on Saturday June 1.

Performances start at 7.30 pm.

The St Nicholas Church Hall performance will be a first return to the venue that the company were founded in since they toured back in 2001.

The Beverley St Nicholas Players, as the company was formerly known, started life there in 1946, but moved to the Memorial Hall in 1983 and changed their name to The Beverley Theatre Company.

The production is also notable for the return of Zoe Conley for the first time since she performed in ‘An Evening with Gary Lineker’ in 2009.

Since then, Zoe has gained a BA in acting from The Manchester School of Theatre and is delighted to be back in Beverley with BTC for a while, before she pursues her acting career.

Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre and Haller’s Shoe shop in Beverley; Costcutters in Cherry Burton; Chem-Dry Universal, Beckside North, Beverley; Tickton Little Theatre or on the door each night.

Tickets are all priced at £6.
