A major fund raising event will take place in Driffield’s Old Town Hall next month to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
It will be the second time around for ‘Springfest’, a live music event to help boost the coffers of the worthwhile charity.
The event will take place on May 17 from 8pm until late.
The hosts for the evening will be Shane Gibson and Jasper Bolton, who plan to bring together an array of local singer and songwriters and music performances, showcasing a variety of acoustic and muddy blues, folk and rhythm and blues rock ‘n’ roll.
Talent acts include Jasper Bolton and Stefan, Andy Stones, Gordy Shannon, Dogfinger Steve and Ollie and Neil plus their three piece band LS3.
The event will also feature a grand mid-interval raffle, with superb individual prizes such as £10 store vouchers, wines and spirits.
There will also be a second hand book stall with a great range of literature to browse and buy.
Tickets are £5 and are available on the door on the eventing or before hand from reception at The Bell Hotel (01377) 256661 or from the Driffield Guide Dogs Fundraising Branch 07708 110732.
Mr Gibson said: “Everyone who supports our charity fundraiser can make such a difference to a person diagnosed with sight loss, a guide dog brings mobility and greater independence.”
The Guide Dogs story started in 1931 with two amazing British pioneers, Muriel Crooke and Rosamund Bond. These remarkable women organised the training of the first four British guide dogs.
