Bridlington and District Snooker and Billiards League desperately needs to recruit more teams if it is to continue.
The league’s future will be discussed at its AGM next Wednesday, with attempts being made to find new teams from outside its current catchment area to ensure its survival.
The league was set up in the 1930s but chairman June Mason said: “We must have a good turnout at the AGM because the future of the league will be discussed.
“We are losing teams and we need a new secretary and committee members.
“We are looking for new teams, even if they are from out of our area. In the past we have had Filey teams, so we will be approaching them, and we are thinking of going out to Driffield too.”
The AGM takes place at the Conservative Club in Tennyson Avenue at 7.30pm on Wednesday 8 May.
