Staff members at Specsavers in Driffield will dedicate the first day in June to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
A host of fun activities, including a bake sale, face painting and a raffle, will feature at the Market Place store on Saturday 1 June.
A range of prizes are up for grabs in the raffle, which is £1 a go, including a family ticket to Jorvik Viking Centre and Burnby Hall Gardens and Fountains Abbey. Pupils from Driffield Junior School will be entering a colouring competition, to win prizes including a trip to Eden Camp.
Deryck Watts, store director at Driffield Specsavers, said: “As a longstanding business serving our local community for more than nine years, we feel it’s important to do our bit and help raise money for a good cause. Yorkshire Cancer Research is a great cause which benefits so many local people and we’ve decided to focus all our fund raising efforts on this charity throughout the next 12 months.”
