The Bradford-based rider was comfortably home almost nine seconds behind second-placed Ivin Lintin in the main race of the day.
Driffield’s James Cowton was making good progress in fourth until a spectacular high side at the top of the start and finish straight.
He escaped unscathed and came back out to claim a second spot in the following race.
During Saturday’s racing James Neesom from Bempton had to bail off his bike in torrential rain at over 100mph in a crash at the Cafe but only suffered a slight knee Injury.
