A talk about the work of an MP and how UK laws are made was given by East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight to the Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association in Market Weighton.
The Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association was founded in 1983 and comprises Yorkshire women of all ages. They organise regular events throughout the year.
Sir Greg gave an insight into his work in the House of Commons and described some of the workings of our constitution as well as passing on some parliamentary anecdotes.
The event, attended by approximately 60 members, was held in the Community Hall at Market Weighton.
