Fresh from supporting Inspiral Carpets, The Chadelics are headlining the new band night Quiet Riot at Hodgson’s in Beverley on Friday, May 29.
The four teenagers have been kicking up a storm following the release of their debut EP ‘Ryan Said It’s OK’.
Picking up airplay on Radio One with Huw Stephens, Radio 6 with Steve Lamacq and XFM with Clint Boon, The Chadelics also number Inspirals’ drummer Craig Gill among their growing army of fans.
In a busy 2015 they have headlined at the Night & Day Cafe in Manchester and The Brickyard, Carlisle, backed the Antarctic Monkeys at The Nines in Barrow and tonight (Friday, May 22) the four south Cumbrians are supporting the Inspiral Carpets at Carlisle’s Old Fire Station.
This is all ahead of their much anticipated follow-up to debut EP Ryan Said It’s OK, which will be their first single release called ‘Out Of Line’ scheduled for June. Then the Kendal Calling festival beckons at the end of July.
Influences range from The Undertones to The Stone Roses and The Smiths to The Arctic Monkeys via Kingmaker.
“We can’t wait to play Beverley,” said songwriter Joe Mansergh. “We have heard what a great night it is.”
Support on the Quiet Riot lineup comes from local rock outfit The Dead Hormones, Hull’s eclectic indie newcomers The Magdelenes and Beverley’s blues maestro Rivers Johansson.
