BEVERLEY COMMUNITY MUSEUM, BEVERLEY GUILDHALL: Sporting Beverley, an overview of the history of organised sport in the town. Runs until July 15. Open Fridays, 10am-1pm, and Wednesday, 10am-1pm until April 30 (10am-4pm from May 1). Free entry.

OLD TOWN GALLERY, BRIDLINGTON: Patricia Thompson presents “The Historic Charm of Bridlington’s Old Town”. An art show of limited edition prints. The exhibition runs until 30 April and the gallery opens Mon-Saturday 10-4pm and Sundays 10-3pm.

BEVERLEY ART GALLERY, THE TREASURE HOUSE: The Bones of Giants is a new free exhibition, opening on 30 April, and running until Saturday 2 July It’s a collection of abstract paintings which often draw on local history, legends, geology and personal memory.

SKIDBY WINDMILL: Trades: Craft and Trade in the East Riding - looking at ploughing, brickmaking, blacksmithing and woodworking. Runs until July 1. Open daily, 10am-5pm (closed for lunch 12.30pm-1pm), except for Friday, 10am-4.30pm. Contact 01482 848405.

KUNSTHUIS CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY, YORK: The gallery presents Colour, Surface, Description - artists from the UK showcase a collection of paintings, ceramics and glass with beautifully bright colours, suggestive shapes and wonderfully arresting textures.
