Flamborough 1sts need to win their final match of the season to overtake Bridlington Rovers and clinch the Driffield League Premier Division title.
Boro were due to face Bridlington Excelsior last night, but the match between two sides was awarded to the village side as a walkover for the third time this month.
They were also unable to raise a team for last Wednesday’s game against Rovers, who have now completed their 21 fixtures.
Forester Athletic 1sts won at Flamborough last week, but are now four points behind Rovers with only one game left to play.
It looks likely that the title will be decided on Saturday, when Flamborough travel to Gypsey Road to face Mermaid United Old Boys.
As that game finishes, Rovers will have taken to the pitch at Queensgate for the final of the John Burchett Challenge Cup, where they are up against Burton Agnes.
Kick-off is at 3:30pm and that follows the final of the A Saunderson Trophy, between Bridlington sides Coachman and Crown (12:30pm).
Admission is £2 and £1 for concessions.
In the league, Mermaid are finishing well, beating Stirling Wanderers 6-2 in midweek and then seeing off Foresters 2nds 3-1 on Saturday
The situation in Division One is more clear-cut and champions Driffield Star received the trophy at the weekend.
Coachman and Crown warmed up for their cup final by rattling in 16 goals between them on Saturday. Crown beat Sports Club Reserves 7-2 and Coachman won 9-0 at Flamborough 2nds to all-but guarantee second spot in the table.
