A cyclist knocked off his bike in a suspected hit-and-run is in a "critical but stable condition".
The 61-year-old man was cycling along Main Street in Hutton Cranswick, when he suffered "a medical episose".
A police spokesman explained: "It is believed the man had been involved in a collision with a car – details of which are not known – in Skerne Road a short time earlier.
"He then suffered a medical episode and fell from his bike in The Green, before being air lifted to hospital."
Officers closed Main Street following the incident, and the victim was transported to hospital by air ambulance.
