The Driffield and District Football League is hopeful of getting up to 20 teams for the new season, with only one of the sides involved in the last campaign dropping out.
Bridlington-based Mermaid United Old Boys have folded, but league secretary Norman Harris is confident a number of new clubs will join up.
Bull and Sun are looking to return after a year’s absence, while Bridlington Club for Young People, which is taking over the running of the pitches at Gypsey Road are also entering a team.
Crown are hopeful of starting a second string and Harris says there has been interest from other teams, while fears that some sides may leave for the East Riding County League appear unfounded.
Other changes see Forester Athletic’s two sides move to become Martonian FC, and Driffield’s Full Measure will change their name to Spread Eagle.
Anyone interested in forming a team, can contact the secretary on 07785 575718 or via the league’s page on Facebook.
