Grindale make it back-to-back wins in Bridlington and District Evening League as they saw off the challenge of North Dalton in Division One.

Russ Robinson led the way with 67 not out to help the home side reach a total of 152-1.

North Dalton’s Mark Clarkson played well to make 47 not out but his side fell short of the total as Greg Cousins took an impressive 3-17, and are still looking for their first win.

Bewholme were another team to make it two wins in two games after they eased to victory against Sewerby.

Danny Brompton (89) scored the bulk of his team’s total of 135-4.

In reply, Sewerby were restricted to 117-2, Scott Cooper (59) and Dom Warters (51) making half-centuries

Burton Agnes produced a score of 188-4 against Driffield, with Tom Norman (66), Luke Ramsey (51) and Matt Nesfield (41) showing good form with the bat.

Driffield’s attempts to turn it round were hampered by Jamie Nesfield taking 2-13 and Norman taking 2-28 as Agnes won by 79 runs.

Driffield Academy racked up a total of 168-6 after batting first against Flamborough, whose winning run came to an end in Division Two.

The target proved to be too much of a test for the visitors, as a tight fielding performance restricted Flamborough to 122-7.

Wold Newton batsman Oli West top scored with 45, helping his side to a total of 129-3 against Driffield RUFC, Karl Ridsdale chipping in with an extra 28.

Clark showed signs of a comeback for the rugby club, with a well-made 54, but wasn’t enough as they ended on 103-8.

Rudston achieved their first win of the new league season at the third attempt, after defeating Middleton.

The hosts batted first, reaching a total of 80 all out, before Rudston’s batsmen all pitched in as they reached 81-6.

Globe continue their good form in Division Three as they picked up another victory against Wetwang.

Batting first, they were all out for 76, with Stuart Daniels the pick of the batsmen, before Globe bowlers Frankie Reffold and Dewi Roberts took the wickets to win them the game.

Trinity picked up a win against Barmston, who batted first but were restricted to a low score of 70-4, thanks mainly to a great performance from Kitching (43 not out).

Trinity responded with Joe Reynolds top scoring with 23 as they reached the target 71-2.

North Frodingham made it three wins in three as they beat Hutton Cranswick.

Curtis Robb produced a total of 23 as Cranswick batted first, although the highlight of the innings was a brilliant hat-trick from bowler Josh Muirhead, who finished with figures of 4-13.

Cranswick were all out for 83, and Frodingham got over the line with three wickets to spare, George Crabtree top scoring with 27 not out.
