Bewholme kept up the pressure on Evening League leaders Driffield, as Nick Hardgrave inspired them to a 13-run win at Grindale.
He hit an unbeaten 52 as the visitors made 96-2 batting first. If there were any worries that might not be enough, Hardgrave eased Bewholme’s fears by taking 4-23 in Grindale’s reply.
Liam Cousins top scored with 22 as Grindale eventually ended on 83-9.
The Division One leaders held on to top spot after winning at North Dalton.
The home side were limited to 83-7 from their 20 overs, as Dave Brent made 34 not out in the face of 3-8 from Kevin Woodcock and 2-8 from Owen Goldsworthy.
Driffield got over the line with two overs to spare. Nicky Johnson followed up last week’s 70 with a knock of 28 not out, and was supported by 27 from James Richardson.
Brent and Jason Riby claimed two victims each for North Dalton in their attempts to hold, but Driffield won by five wickets.
Youngster Oliver Beckett claimed an impreesive 5-11 as Burton Agnes routed struggling Sewerby by 98 runs.
Rob Norman claimed 2-20 and Mark Beckett 2-16 as Sewerby were skittled for 65.
Earlier in the evening, Agnes had posted 163/7, with contributions from Luke Ramsay (39), Jamie Nesfield (31), Tom Norman (26 not out) and Matt Nesfield (20).Flamborough’s Simon Leeson hit an imposing 93 not out as they proved far too strong for Middleton in Evening League Division Two.
His score was more than the combined efforts of the Middleton batsmen, as the visitors won by 67 runs.
Luke Dixon added 30 as Flamborough amassed 154-2, and Harry Burton then took 2-10 as Middleton were stopped on 87-3, Dale Bower top scoring on 20.
Driffield Academy stay at the head of the pack after beating Driffield RUFC by nine runs.
Jordan Caley made 34 in the Academy’s 127-7, before Clark’s 52 not out proved in vain for the rugby club.
Wold Newton are up to second after a dominant dispay against Rudston.
Karl Ridsdale’s 32 was the game’s top score as Wold Newton set 111-7, then Matthew Southwell (3-12), John Searby (4-6) and David Stockdale (3-18) combined to dismiss Rudston for 87.
North Frodingham’s 100% record remains in Division Three, but it was on the line at Globe, where they scrambled a win off the final ball.
Globe opener Frankie Reffold carried his bat to make 55 not out, and with the help of Mike Tate (36) and Phil Dench (27), they got up to 142-5.
But Andy Inns led Frod’s reply, remaining unbeaten on 57, and James Baker’s 39 meant they were always in with a chance.
Reffold took 2-37 but the leaders’ James Dunning scored the winning run off the final ball.
Harvey Thompson was man of the match as Wetwang beat Trinity.
He made an unbeaten 50 in their successful run chase, having earlier taken 2-19 to restrict Trinity to 95-6.
Other notable performance for Wetwang came from James Webb (2-17) and Tom Clemmit (18)
Alex Woolley was another batsman to make a half-century as Hutton Cranswick piled on 144-7 against Barmston, who remained rooted to the bottom of the table.
Darren Whatling, Simon Porter and Warkup all took two wickets for the visitors, but their batsmen only made 80-8 in reply, Wilson claiming 4-22.
