Money intended for a children’s charity was stolen by a woman who suffers from mental health issues, a court has heard.
Kimberley Hanson, 27, of Hilderthorpe Road, Bridlington, admitted to two charges of theft.
Bridlington magistrates on Wednesday 10 April, heard Hanson stole money intended for Manchester Children’s Hospital on or around November 12 last year in Driffield. She also stole £30 belonging to Alice Corrigan in Driffield between October 2012 and Friday 15 March this year.
Michael Farr, in mitigation for Hanson, said: “Ms Hanson is under going treatment for mental health issues. Treatment was on going when these events took place. Miss Stephenson is unable to undertake a stand down report without looking at the background of that in this case.”
Susan Akrill, presiding magistrate adjourned the case for a full report until Wednesday 1 May when Hanson will reappear at Bridlington Magistrates Court. She was granted unconditional bail.
