Humberside Police have also charged a woman with permitting premises to be used for the unlawful purposes of growing a Class B drug, in an unrelated incident.

The woman has knowingly allowed her male partner and a joint tenant of a flat on George Street, Driffield to grow cannabis in the property.

A police spokeswoman said: “She had knowingly allowed her male partner and joint tenant of the property, to grow cannabis within the flat using three insulated tents.

These offences come just a month after a man was charged with the possession of Class B drugs following a search made by police officers in the early hours of Wednesday 31 July.

The man was stopped by police on St John’s Road and searched.

The search revealed a small quantity of amphetamine and blue pills inside his right and left hand pockets in his coat.
