SCHOOL children in Nafferton have travelled the world in one day thanks to the sound of music.
Renowned professional percussionist Janet Fulton has paid the Year 6 pupils at Nafferton Primary School a visit to help them explore the world of music in a very unique way.
Ms Fulton led all 38 pupils on a tour of India, Africa, Australia and South America with the help of a range of percussion instruments.
Janet Burtenshaw, music teacher at Nafferton Primary School, said it was a round the world trip but “cheaper, using less fuel and without the jet lag.”
“The kids thought it was brilliant,” she added.

Ms Fulton is the principal percussionist with Manchester Camerata and works regularly with the Hallé and BBC Philharmonic as well as other major orchestras in the North of England.
