Four teenage army cadets have been preparing for a tough ride for completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards by cycling 66 kilometres around Pocklington.
Driffield cadets Marcia Talaska, Lucy Beresford and Amy Beresford, along with Ben Campbell-Wilson from Hornsea, all 15 years of age, are aiming to complete their Bronze awards.
Marcia said: “We had an amazing time riding.
“They do say Pocklington is the Gateway to the outstanding Yorkshire Wolds as it is right on the western edge of the Wolds. It such an attractive market town.”
Gareth Pugh, the DofE Rep for the Army Cadets, said: “I’m very proud of all four cadets. It is quite an achievement to do a total of 66k mountain bike riding. I would also like to thank the support crew as this couldn’t have happened with them.”
