Around two months’ ago I wrote a letter talking about the large amount of potholes on the Driffield to Bridlington Road, particularly around the roundabout at Nafferton, which is extremely rough.
We are now into the summer season and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council has done nothing to remedy this situation.
Holidaymakers who travel to Bridlington from South and West Yorkshire, and further afield, must think we are backwards in this area and still travel by horse and cart.
The road needs some serious attention after quite a few years of neglect.
The council are probably waiting to mend it when the holiday season is at its height, creating long lines of traffic as a result!
PS: There are some huge potholes at Bridlington Hospital at the moment. I pity the poor ambulance drivers who have to negotiate those each and every day.
