Scarborough CC under-11s had a mixed time in their last two games, taking victory in Greenwood Hire Junior Zone One but slipping out of the KO Cup.
They firstly wrapped up a league win by 103 runs against Scalby, with Isaac Grunwell (28no) and Daniel Conner (13no) helping them to 317-1.
Charlie Doubtfire gave Scalby some hope with a knock of 13, but Conner’s top all-round performance was competed by figures of 2-10.
Pickering were a touch too strong for Scarborough in Sunday’s cup game, as they won by 33 runs.
The Pikes moved to 273-4, with Ryan Vance hitting 18.
Callum Pepper’s 3-11 helped slow the Scarborough retort to 240-5.
Forge Valley closed the gap on the leaders with a win by 18 runs against second-placed Sewerby.
Jack Northgraves’ 21 took Valley to 277-3, with Dan Taylor helping himself to 2-9 in Sewerby’s unsuccessful reply.
Cloughton failed to stop the charge of leaders Driffield, as they lost out by 130 runs.
The Driffield highlights came from Joe Anderson’s 41 in a total of 343-4 and then the figures of 2-1 from Joe Stabler.
Cayton saw off Flixton by 69 runs.
R Lacey’s 16 was in vain as Flixton dropped short of Cayton’s 297-1.
In Zone Two, Wykeham beat Duncombe Park B by 77 runs.
Oliver Barnett struck 15 to help Wykeham tally 272-4.
Charlie Revis then took over with match-winning figures of 2-4.
