Living Land exhibition held

A new exhibition is coming to Beverley Art Gallery from Saturday 9 July. Using stone and clay, the artworks in this exhibition pay tribute to our natural world and also express concern over its exploitation.

Ilona Sulikova and Marie Lofthouse have drawn on the forms, patterns, colours and textures found in nature, while Pam Davies’ work focuses on the ways in which our world is increasingly threatened.

All three artists hope this show will inspire people to notice, celebrate and care for ‘our living land’.

Curator Gerardine Mulcahy-Parker said: “Come along on Saturday 9 July and discover what inspired the artists and what techniques were involved in producing the ceramics and sculptures that feature in the show.

“It’s a free event – just drop in to the gallery any time between 1pm and 3pm.”
