A funeral service was held at the East Riding Crematorium on Thursday, 23 June, for Mr Christopher Paul Johnson who died suddenly.
The service was conducted by Stephanie Murray.
Christopher was born in Grantham, Lincolnshire on 24 June 1977 – Jubilee year. He was one of two children, only brother of Michelle Renay Nicholson, nee Johnson. He attended school in Grantham at a specialist dyslexic unit and Central School. Christopher was multi skilled after obtaining varying training certificates and used those skills to undertake ‘Handy Man’ work.
He enjoyed travelling round the country. During his time living in Thetford, Norfolk, he enjoyed working with children with disabilities as part of a Princes Trust Scheme.
Christopher had a good ear for music and liked to self learn tunes on his guitar, since he didn’t read music. He also enjoyed writing poetry and helping his mum and step-father in their garden.
He was a very loving man and enjoyed time with his family, he hoped to settle in Yorkshire.
A collection was made during the service for The Haven, Bridlington, in Christopher’s memory, which will be used to purchase a BBQ and equipment, a tree and a voucher for a BBQ for the residents to enjoy.
Family flowers only were requested at the funeral, a basket of sunflowers arranged by his mother and a basket of white roses and yellow carnations arranged by his sister.
