Scarborough, having recorded their first victory in the Yorkshire Premier Division North last week, made it two wins in a row as they beat Castleford by 40 runs at North Marine Road.
A half-century from opener Darren Harland proved the highlight for the hosts as Eddie Morrison dominated the middle of the innings taking 5-44, restricting the total to 194.
David Wainwright (54) passed 50 for the third time in four weeks and Connor Hyde made 43 the pair sharing a stand of 79, but they were the only two to reach double figures as Ben Elvidge finished with 4-29 and Kristian Wilkinson 3-20.
Driffield Town slipped to a seven-wicket defeat in their game against York.
An unbroken century stand between Duncan Snell (79no) and Alex Collins (43no) saw York chase down Driffield’s 173 with a couple of overs to spare.
Earlier a fifth half-century in eight innings from Ali Asad (57) under-pinned the start of the visitor’s innings but when he was fourth out Dan Woods (4-51) and Tom Pringle (3-56) were able to take advantage of the favourable conditions, the latter picking up the vital final wicket with one ball of the innings remaining.
