BURGLARS escaped with hundreds of pounds of goods from a flat on Middle Street South, Driffield
They broke into the property overnight Friday November 30 through an insecure front communal door from the street and went upstairs to the first floor flat.
Money and a note book computer were stolen.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Crime reference 1945382.
In an unrelated incident, a man was arrested following allegations of theft from the Wilkinsons store in Driffield
A police spokeswoman said: “At 1.10pm on Sunday December 2, CCTV in the store captured two males in the act of stealing products from the shelves. The two males entered the DIY store, one male picked up a tray of deodorant.
“He moved to another area of the store and placed the tray on top shelf of a display. Both males then walked around the store before making their way back to the hidden deodorant. One male held a carrier bag open and the other male placed six cans inside the bag. Both males left the store without offering payment.”
One male was identified by a police officer who viewed the CCTV. The male was arrested and interviewed. Police are on with identifying the second male.”
